I would recommand this documentary "Road of resistance", showing one of many stories out there. It`s showing the dramatic background of the Karen-people in Burma, whom have been on their run for a safe place/land for many many years!
" In the summer of 2006, four friends from San Diego, California set out on a mission to expose the atrocities being done to the people of Burma, more specifically, the Karen people – one of the country’s largest ethnic groups. Burma has quietly been host to the world’s longest running civil war – waged between the country’s military dictatorship and detractors from the regime." www.roadofresistance.com
Mae La is a big refugee camp on the Thai-Burmese boarder, where many of the refugees lives in many years before they maybee got an opportunity to go to another country. But very many also lives in small villages on the thai-burmese boarder, with no identifications papers. Without these papers they are "no one". No rights to work or medical help.
